Stéphane Mouton is the visionary one.  It was love at first sight between Stéphane and Sainte Cécile du Parc.  He agreed to buy the domain even before his wife Christine had even seen the property.  Stéphane’s knowledge of the wine industry began as that of an enthusiastic consumer.  His interest became more pronounced after having lived and worked in Tuscany for five years.  When he came to the Languedoc in 2003, he just knew he wanted to make wine.  But not just ordinary table wine.  Stéphane aspires to develop Sainte Cécile’s potential to become a leading, quality wine estate.

Christine Mouton Bertoli is responsible for sales and marketing. With a French mother from Paris and an Italian father from Venice, Christine was born and raised in England, above her parents’ exquisite French restaurant : “The Sundial”, in Herstmonceux, East Sussex.  This was where Christine first came face to face with the most prestigious Premiers Grands Crus Classés, which as a young child she observed with indifference and sometimes trepidation given the dampness, dust and cobwebs of the dark cellars.  Needless to say, her point of view has changed dramatically since then.

After graduating from Trinity Hall Cambridge, Christine worked in Paris and Prato (Tuscany, Italy) before moving to the Languedoc in 2003. Stéphane and she have three beautiful boys.
